LG Electronics uses volunteer leave to help neighbours ahead of Lunar New Year

LG Electronics said its employee volunteer group visited the Yeomni Day Care Center for People with Disabilities in Mapo district, Seoul, ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday. Employees took part using a weekday volunteer leave scheme that allows up to 8 hours a year. The activity was funded by donations from an employee programme tied to simplified cafeteria menus, with 500 won saved per selection.

Toss Bank to conduct data center service check

Toss Bank said it will conduct a systems inspection from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Feb. 8 to upgrade its data center. The work will temporarily suspend access to the mobile banking app and all financial services, including transfers, for seven hours, while on- and offline check card payments will be limited. The inspection is the first large-scale job since launch that involves a service halt of more than one hour.

Baemin to pay 43.1 billion won in settlement funds early ahead of Lunar New Year holiday

Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok, said on Thursday it will pay about 43.1 billion won in settlement funds early to partner merchants ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday. The early settlement applies to partners using Baemin services including Baemin1 Plus, Open List, Baemin pickup orders and grocery and shopping. The company said partners could receive funds up to 6 days earlier than the usual schedule.
