CJ CheilJedang operating profit falls 15.2 percent in 2025 as overseas food grows

CJ CheilJedang said on Feb. 9 its 2025 operating profit, excluding CJ Logistics, fell 15.2 percent from a year earlier to 861.2 billion won as revenue slipped 0.6 percent to 17.75 trillion won. It said overseas food became a growth axis, but weaker domestic food demand and volatility in the bio business weighed on profitability. The company posted a net loss and cited non-operating losses from fourth-quarter asset valuations.

Sungwoo posts 1 billion won 2025 operating profit, down 92.9 percent

Battery company Sungwoo said on Sunday it posted 85.6 billion won in 2025 revenue and 1 billion won in operating profit. Revenue fell 34.7 percent from a year earlier and operating profit dropped 92.9 percent. Net profit declined 73.0 percent to 4.9 billion won. Fourth-quarter revenue slid 34.9 percent to 19.4 billion won, but operating profit came to 1.3 billion won, returning to the black.

Hanmi Semiconductor posts 251.4 billion won 2025 operating profit, down 1.6 percent

Hanmi Semiconductor said on Feb. 9 it posted 576.7 billion won in 2025 revenue and 251.4 billion won in operating profit. Revenue rose 3.2 percent from a year earlier, while operating profit fell 1.6 percent. Fourth-quarter revenue came to 83.0 billion won and operating profit to 27.6 billion won, down 50.1 percent and 59.2 percent from the previous quarter. The company cited sales of equipment used to make HBM for AI chips.
