SOLUM steps up push into European retail market

SOLUM said it will take part in EuroShop 2026 in Duesseldorf, Germany, where it will unveil solutions based on its SOLUM Store Platform. The exhibition draws about 1,900 companies from 60 countries and around 80,000 visitors from 140 countries, with AI, digitalisation and sustainability as key themes. SOLUM plans to expand its position in Europe and promote sales of its recently launched NewtonCore+ alongside new ESL and signage products.

Samsung Electronics hits 3 Gbps downlink speed in 7 GHz 6G test

Samsung Electronics said on Thursday it, KT and Keysight Technologies successfully verified an ultra-high-density multi-antenna technology in the 7 GHz band, a core frequency for 6G standards. The companies reached an industry-leading maximum downlink speed of 3 Gbps, about twice that of 5G, in tests using a prototype base station and a 6G test device in a simulated network environment.

KOSPI surges past 5,700 for first time intraday, extends gains

South Korea’s KOSPI extended gains on Thursday, breaking above 5,700 for the first time in intraday trade shortly after the market opened. The index opened at 5,696.89 and stood at 5,718.52 as of 9:09 a.m., up 41.27 points, or 0.73 percent, from the previous session. Retail investors were net buyers, while foreigners and institutions were net sellers. The Kosdaq also rose.
