Companies are increasingly moving to put AI not just as a work-assistance tool but into the core of automation and workflows. In the process, interest is also rising in agentic AI, in which AI performs work on its own. Cases of applying agentic AI in real operations, beyond testing, are also pouring out.
But the process of pursuing AI transformation (AX) based on agentic AI is not as easy as it seems for companies. Experts point out that it is hard to produce results if companies move into AX without proper preparation, such as data cleanup.
Against that backdrop, a conference will be held to look at the latest trends and cases in agentic AI. DigitalToday will hold the Digital Insight 2026 conference on Sept. 29 at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, under the theme of global trends and success strategies for agentic AX.
The conference will feature representatives from domestic and overseas AI companies and corporate experts who use AI in the workplace, who will share market trends and use cases.
Tae-yoon Kim (김태윤), an executive vice president at SK Telecom, will share the latest trends in agentic AI and the company’s strategy for an agentic AI ecosystem based on A.X K2, developed under its proprietary AI foundation model project, dubbed Dokpamo.
SK Telecom, which passed the second evaluation of the government’s proprietary AI foundation model project, plans to expand the scope of applying its proprietary model by leveraging existing service touchpoints such as A-dot, A-dot Biz and T Map, as well as industrial sites in manufacturing, defense and bio. Its goal is to embed the proprietary model in actual services and industrial sites by combining vision, voice and agent technologies alongside expanding the model’s scale.
MegazoneCloud will share the conditions companies need to introduce agentic AI, based on its experience from multiple projects carried out in the field.
There are also growing calls that for AX to take root in companies, they need to change their data environments into structures that AI can understand. Gi-dong Kim (김기동), a team manager at data specialist Encor, will present an ontology-based AI-ready data strategy that enables AI to work properly at the event.
There are many paths to AX. Many companies are pursuing AX in different ways. At the event, Ju-bong Yoo (유주봉), an AX excellence leader at Nol Universe, an integrated leisure, travel and culture company, will share the company’s AX transformation experience under the theme, "Change that began in unseen places, Nol Universe’s AX transformation period." Woo-seop Lee (이우섭), a deputy general manager in the Digital Strategy Business Division at Hana Bank, will present AI cases and trends in the financial sector.
Nvidia has also recently emerged as a heavyweight player in the global agentic AI ecosystem. It has been rolling out a range of technologies to implement agentic AI. At the event, Sun-wook Kim (김선욱), a managing director at NVIDIA Korea, is scheduled to present on Nvidia’s agentic AI ecosystem, drawing attention.
