Total IT services company HNIX said on Monday it has spun off its information security business unit to establish security specialist company HNSLAB.
HNSLAB aims to position itself as an "Integrated Security Partner" covering everything from security consulting to solution deployment, operations and training.
HNSLAB said more than 83 percent of its employees are technical specialists in solution development and deployment and in security monitoring and operations.
HNSLAB also presented a roadmap to develop a next-generation AI security agent alongside its in-house solutions. It plans to target the market with its next-generation document security solution, MIM (MIP Integration Management), which is currently being supplied, and the SecuOne AI Agent, which is under development with the goal of commercialization in 2027.
MIM combines Microsoft’s standard document security framework, MIP, with the strengths of traditional DRM as well as its own API hooking and offline pre-cache technology. The company explained that it automatically protects even back-end and legacy programs and closed-network environments that the existing MIP approach could not support, without separate application modifications.
The SecuOne AI Agent is an integrated single-agent solution focused on resolving device overload and conflicts caused by installing multiple agents. It supports PC security-level diagnostics, ransomware backup, DRM, personal information detection and logical network separation.
HNSLAB plans to embed a large language model-based threat prediction and analysis model to complete an autonomous and proactive response system by 2027 and launch it commercially. It also plans to strengthen a data-centric endpoint security framework based on customers in key industries including defense, shipbuilding, manufacturing, refining and healthcare, while expanding its business step by step into AI and cloud environments.
Cha Dong-won (차동원), CEO of HNSLAB, said, "Corporate security must become a culture that protects corporate trust beyond simple regulatory compliance." He added, "HNSLAB will become an integrated security partner that thoroughly protects companies’ core assets by combining proven data security technology with next-generation AI capabilities."
