Science ministry launches first science and technology innovation fund worth 763.2 billion won

South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT said on Monday it held a ceremony and investor relations event in Seoul to mark the launch of the first science and technology innovation fund and the start of investing. The privately led fund aims to reach about 1 trillion won and focus on 12 national strategic technology fields. Shinhan Bank, IBK Industrial Bank of Korea and Woori Bank will create a 494.0 billion won parent fund over four years. Five sub-funds totalling 763.2 billion won were formed for the first round.

Etevers signs exclusive distribution deal with Skyhigh Security in South Korea

Etevers, a South Korean IT solutions company, said on Monday it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with global cloud security company Skyhigh Security. Under the deal, Etevers will supply security solutions based on Skyhigh Security’s Security Service Edge platform in the South Korean market. It plans to expand business across sectors including enterprise, public, finance and education, focusing on data-centric security technologies such as CASB, secure web gateway, ZTNA and DSPM.

ETech System wins ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification

ETech System, an affiliate of Etvers Group, has officially obtained the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, an International Organization for Standardization standard for information security management systems, it said on Feb. 24. The certification was conducted for Planet, Etvers Group’s B2B marketplace. Etvers Group said the certification demonstrated global-level security management across all Planet functions and its overall system environment. It plans to expand regular security monitoring and employee training.
