Usage- and performance-based pricing spreads in enterprise software for AI era

As AI agents spread, usage-based pricing and performance-based models that charge only when AI completes work properly are rapidly gaining ground in the enterprise software market. The industry has long relied on flat-rate subscriptions priced per user per month, but companies increasingly see those plans as a poor fit for AI. Some firms are also moving beyond volume-based models, adopting outcome-linked pricing. Adobe plans to apply performance-based fees to its CX Enterprise AI agent platform, while keeping usage and subscription pricing for some existing AI tools. Zendesk, Intercom, Sierra AI, Salesforce and HubSpot have also introduced outcome-based approaches.

SK hynix results D-1 stirs market buzz as shares hit record high again

Market expectations for SK hynix are peaking ahead of its first-quarter preliminary results due on April 23. The stock rose as high as 1,228,000 won intraday on April 21, setting a record. Brokerages expect operating profit of 38 to 40 trillion won, above the 35.9 trillion won consensus. Analysts cite conventional DRAM and enterprise SSD, alongside a broader surge in memory export values.

The United States is stepping up a wartime response posture, adding pressure on the auto industry. The Pentagon has contacted top executives at major automakers such as GM and Ford to sound out slowing some EV output and expanding weapons and military supplies production. Separately, Ford’s CEO warned about Chinese EVs and the company reshuffled its organisation. Volkswagen accelerated battery work, while Tesla completed its AI5 chip design and updated its FSD app amid complaints over HW3 limits.
