LangChain CEO says AI agents hinge on context engineering

LangChain co-founder and CEO Harrison Chase said harness engineering is a key task in developing AI agents. He described a harness as an execution environment designed to let AI models loop, call tools and carry out long-running work. Chase said harness engineering extends context engineering and that the trend is to give models more control over what they see. He cited AutoGPT as an early example that faded because models could not run loops reliably.

Bitcoin could hit $1.5 million if it matches gold's market value

A forecast said bitcoin could climb to about $1.5 million per coin if it attains the same market value as gold. Blockstream CEO Adam Back said bitcoin has posted the highest average annual return among major assets over the past decade, while requiring investors to endure high volatility. He also reiterated that bitcoin could surpass gold’s total market value if it becomes “digital gold.”

Global cloud big three to keep providing Anthropic models excluding U.S. Defense Department work

Major cloud providers have confirmed they will keep providing Anthropic AI models except for work related to the U.S. Defense Department after Anthropic was designated a supply-chain risk. Following Microsoft and Google, Amazon Web Services said customers can continue using Claude for non-Defense Department workloads and will be supported in switching Defense Department-related work to alternative models running on AWS. Amazon has invested $8 billion in Anthropic since 2023.
