KOSPI, KOSDAQ trigger sell-sidecar and circuit breakers

South Korean markets saw a series of trading curbs on March 9 as sell-sidecar measures and a circuit breaker were triggered, temporarily halting trading. A sell-sidecar in the main board market was activated after KOSPI 200 futures slid 6.49 percent, and a similar curb was later triggered in the KOSDAQ market. A first-stage circuit breaker followed as the KOSPI fell 8.10 percent.

Kakao Games named a 2025 Kosdaq disclosure excellence company

Kakao Games said on March 9 it was selected as an overall top performer in the Korea Exchange’s 2025 Kosdaq disclosure excellence company awards. The exchange selects disclosure excellence firms each year by comprehensively assessing qualitative and quantitative indicators, including disclosure performance and investor communication, for Kosdaq-listed companies. This year, 15 companies including Kakao Games were selected. Kakao Games cited transparent disclosure and strengthened accuracy and timeliness.
