Why Binance, Telegram and others went to Kazakhstan as tech figures skirt regulation
Astana is drawing attention as a new base for global tech, with Binance, Telegram and Balaji Srinivasan expanding in Kazakhstan, Business Insider reported. Srinivasan opened a resident startup community and relaunched his Network School at the Astana Hub. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao visited and the firm signed three agreements with the government. Telegram opened its first local office and an AI institute. Kazakhstan has introduced new visas and pursued immigration reforms, amid mention of some figures’ regulatory troubles elsewhere.

Ethereum Foundation sets Dec 2029 target for quantum resistance across mainnet
The Ethereum Foundation has laid out a roadmap to make the entire Ethereum mainnet quantum-resistant by December 2029. The target is to convert all three layers of Ethereum L1 — execution, consensus and data — to a quantum-resistant structure. The timeline is set on the assumption that a quantum-computing “Q-day” could arrive as early as 2030. Ethereum aims to implement its next major upgrade, Glamssterdam, in December and then deliver full quantum resistance through five further upgrades.

Coinone to provide digital asset quotes on Korea Investment & Securities MTS
Coinone will provide real-time digital asset quotes through Korea Investment & Securities' mobile trading system, expanding cooperation between the two. Coinone said users of the securities firm's app will be able to check market data such as prices, changes, trading value and market capitalisation for major digital assets. Users can also access information on Coinone services including coin accumulation, coin borrowing, staking and smart trading.
