NH NongHyup Capital builds Oracle Cloud-based disaster recovery system

NH NongHyup Capital said on Aug. 3 it has built a disaster recovery environment based on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The company shifted from its existing on-premises data backup method to an OCI-based in-house disaster recovery framework to comply with recently revised electronic financial supervision rules and strengthen operational resilience. It said the move lays the groundwork to keep services running without interruption even during major outages or system errors.

Epson and NexPot Solution team up to expand anti-counterfeit security label market

Korea Epson said on Aug. 3 it signed a memorandum of understanding with security solutions company NexPot Solution to expand the anti-counterfeit security label market and develop high value-added label solutions. The companies plan to combine Epson's SurePress L-6534VW with NexPot Solution's security technology to broaden security label offerings. They aim to expand new solutions that merge QR-based authentication with special printing techniques such as digital varnish.

Synopsys appoints Moon Sung-soo to lead Korea simulation and analysis business

Synopsys said on Sunday it has appointed Moon Sung-soo (문성수) as head of Synopsys Korea’s Simulation & Analysis business. Moon previously led Altair’s South Korea unit and held senior vice president roles covering the Asia-Pacific region and Japan and South Korea. He later served as vice president of the Global Simulation Practice at Siemens Digital Industries Software. Moon began his engineering career at Kia Motors, working in crashworthiness engineering.
