Binggrae to cut ice cream prices by 8.2 percent on average

Binggrae said on March 19 it will cut factory-gate prices for its ice cream products. The items include Linky Bar, Guseul Polapo Kiwi & Pineapple, Royal Cookie Sand Peanut Butter, two Milky Fruit products, two Low Sugar Day products and Nyam. The factory-gate prices for the covered products will fall by an average of 8.2 percent. The changes will take effect from April 1.

KT said on Wednesday it was ranked No. 1 in mobile communications, high-speed internet and IPTV in this year’s Korea Brand Power Index survey, marking a second straight year of sweeping the categories. The company said it expanded subscriber-focused offerings and everyday benefits, enhanced AI-based spam blocking and voice-phishing detection, and strengthened security services for broadband. It also introduced WiFi 7 and added an LLM-based AI agent to Genie TV.

Lotte Wellfood cuts prices for confectionery, ice cream and packaged bread products by 4.7 percent on average

Lotte Wellfood said on March 19 it will cut prices on nine items including confectionery, ice cream and packaged bread by up to 20 percent, averaging 4.7 percent. The cuts will apply to shipments from April 1 and will be rolled out gradually by distribution channel. The company said it decided on the cuts to join the government’s price-stabilisation drive and share the burden with people facing difficulties.
