Korea's space agency visited a local senior welfare facility ahead of the Chuseok holiday and carried out volunteer work.

Oh Tae-seok (오태석), head of the Korea AeroSpace Administration, and staff visited Sacheon Haengbok Nursing Home in Sacheon, South Gyeongsang Province, on Sept. 23. They delivered donations and took part in meal service volunteering.

Oh and staff greeted the seniors and helped with lunch, among other volunteer activities. The Korea AeroSpace Administration has continued community contribution activities using donations voluntarily raised by staff since it was established.

Oh said it was meaningful to deliver holiday greetings to the seniors ahead of Chuseok and share a small gesture. He said the agency would expand community service activities that look after neighbors in the local community and put sharing into practice.

The Korea AeroSpace Administration is also making final preparations ahead of the fifth launch of the Nuri rocket, scheduled for Oct. 7. The launch is expected to carry a record 15 satellites, including five NeonSat ultra-small cluster satellites and 10 CubeSats.
