MegazoneCloud, KISTI open Korea Quantum Nexus Center

MegazoneCloud and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) have jointly opened the Korea Quantum Nexus Center in Seoul, the companies said. The centre was set up under a project launched in June last year to build a quantum computing service and utilisation framework. It plans to develop industry-focused quantum algorithms, support proof-of-concept work for companies, provide technical support, and run education and training programmes.

Hana Financial to expand tailored financial education for seniors

Hana Financial Group said on March 27 it will provide on-site digital financial education for seniors at elderly welfare facilities nationwide. The programme targets older people unfamiliar with digital finance to improve access and support safer retirement asset management. Last year it held 35 sessions at 20 institutions in the Seoul metropolitan area for about 2,500 seniors. This year it will expand to 80 institutions, offering practice-focused training.

Woori Bank, KODIT sign deal to support financing for high-tech, high-growth firms

Woori Bank said on March 27 it signed an agreement with the Korea Technology Finance Corp to support financing for high-growth scale-up companies. The bank said it aims to strengthen the corporate growth ladder and expand productive finance in line with the government’s policy direction. Under the agreement, Woori Bank will contribute 8 billion won and provide 310 billion won in funding, supporting firms recommended by KODIT after evaluation.
