NOL, operated by NOL Universe, said on Wednesday it opened an overseas transport service that allows users to book trains and buses between cities in Europe and the Americas. The service links Rail Europe, a European rail reservation platform, and FlixBus, which operates bus networks in Europe and the Americas.
NOL is the first domestic travel platform to directly link with FlixBus. Users can book long-distance buses in major cities worldwide, including in Europe, directly on NOL. The company said it will sell Rail Europe products at the lowest price for a limited period to mark the launch.
When users enter a departure point, destination and travel dates, the service searches cities and multiple stations together. Users can choose transport options that fit their schedules because bus and rail prices, departure times and travel times can be compared on one screen. The company said users can also check seat availability and frequently changing fares in real time.
The full process, from browsing products to booking, payment, ticketing and reservation management, is handled within NOL. It also offers support in Korean, from booking to consultations needed during use, reducing the burden of preparing local transport, it said. NOL Universe has previously integrated services to bundle travel and leisure products such as flights, accommodation, tours and tickets into a single platform. The new service expands its scope to include intercity travel after arriving at a destination.
NOL plans to add more suppliers and expand regions and transport products, the company said. It aims to broaden the choices available to users in its overseas travel service.
Oliver Liebutski (올리버 리부츠키), head of NOL Universe's global business group, said, "With the launch of this service, we have improved mobility convenience so customers can easily compare and book transport without language barriers even in unfamiliar overseas locations." He added, "We plan to continue expanding various products and benefits that seamlessly connect every moment of leisure, based on NOL's integrated platform capabilities."
