World Foundation subsidiary sells $65 million of WLD tokens as price hits record low

World Foundation token-issuing unit World Asset has sold WLD tokens worth $65 million, The Block reported on March 28. The over-the-counter sale was completed last week with four counterparties. The first transaction closed on March 20, with 239 million WLD sold at an average of $0.2719 per token. Proceeds will be used for core operations, R&D, Orb manufacturing and ecosystem development. WLD was at $0.27, down 97 percent from its peak.

Candu AI raises $225 million, aims to ease AI chip bottlenecks with copper instead of optics

Swiss semiconductor company Candu AI has raised $225 million in a Series A round, The Next Web reported. The round was led by Maverick Silicon, with SoftBank, Synopsys, Cadence Design Systems and Alchip Technologies as strategic investors. Candu AI was valued at $400 million in the round. The company says copper is still viable, claiming its approach can boost link speeds and sharply reduce power use and system costs.

KB Financial to expand local care infrastructure with health ministry, launch dedicated hotline

KB Financial Group and the Ministry of Health and Welfare will expand nationwide local care infrastructure and open a dedicated hotline to improve living conditions in communities, they said on March 29. The extended night care programme allows elementary school children aged 6 to 12 to be cared for until 10 p.m. or midnight. KB Financial will invest 6 billion won from 2026 to 2028 to support participating facilities and related services.
