Adam Back says memecoins and altcoins are meaningless, urges buying and holding bitcoin

Blockstream CEO Adam Back (아담 백) said many token prices, including memecoins and smart-contract tokens, are being repriced late and again urged investors to buy and hold bitcoin. In posts on X on May 23 and 24, he wrote: "Buy bitcoin, hold it, repeat." Back said he has long believed altcoin prices could converge to $0, citing lack of cash flow, blockspace demand and sustainable competitive advantage.

Cardano founder Hoskinson pushes governance overhaul amid internal conflict

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson (찰스 호스킨슨) said he will review the overall governance structure of more than 11,000 decentralised autonomous organisations to address internal conflict within Cardano. He is preparing an overhaul plan based on 10 years of governance research to reflect in the Cardano constitution and new technology. The move comes as a governance dispute intensifies over an IOG treasury funding proposal, which faces likely rejection ahead of a June 8 deadline.

Shinhan Securities runs programme for George Washington University training group

Shinhan Securities ran a Korea capital markets field experience programme for a training group from the Korea Studies Institute at George Washington University in the United States. The company said on May 25 it held the programme on May 22 for participants in the institute’s 2026 Summer Study Abroad Program. The short course runs from May 17 to May 30 and includes 12 participants, including students and a supervising professor.
