NHN KCP is piloting a payment and settlement service that allows truck drivers who have completed freight transport to receive their fees early, without waiting until the existing settlement date.
NHN KCP said on Tuesday it will pilot a "co-payment solution for freight transport fees" for 2 carriers and 9 truck driver operators.
The service will be operated in conjunction with Silqsoft’s "integrated settlement billing system." Silqsoft manages data needed to pay freight fees, including carrier and driver information, transport records and tax invoices, and links the application process.
If a truck driver applies for the service, NHN KCP checks via the system whether transport has been completed and the amount due, then pays the fee before the settlement date. When the original settlement date arrives, the carrier pays the amount to NHN KCP.
NHN KCP plans to use the pilot to check the stability of the entire process, from confirming transport completion to paying fees to truck drivers and collecting the funds.
An NHN KCP official said, "Based on the pilot results, we will expand partner companies and the scope of application in the transport and logistics sector."
