NH NongHyup Bank introduces Incheon Airport Smart Pass on NH AllOne Bank app

NH NongHyup Bank has introduced Incheon International Airport's Smart Pass service on its mobile app, NH AllOne Bank. The bank said on Aug. 21 the service can simplify departure procedures for airport users. Smart Pass allows departing passengers to verify their identity through facial recognition at departure halls and boarding gates after registering passport and boarding pass information in advance. The bank will also run an event from Aug. 26.

Kakao mulls restructuring as it holds emergency town hall and disclosure

Kakao has begun work to restructure its group governance. The company will hold a staff town hall meeting called "Open Talk" at 10 a.m. on Aug. 21 to explain the direction of the overhaul and is expected to disclose details around the same time. Kakao has not officially released specific agenda items. Market attention is focused on whether Kakao will separate the KakaoTalk business.

KB Financial included in FTSE4Good global ESG index for 16th straight year

KB Financial Group has been included in the FTSE4Good Index Series, a global ESG index, for the 16th consecutive year. KB Financial said on Aug. 21 it has been selected for the index’s constituents since 2011, based on an assessment by FTSE Russell. In the latest review, it scored above the industry average across environment, social and governance categories. The group said it has also maintained ratings from MSCI, the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and CDP.
