Kim Jong-cheol to meet chiefs of South Korea's three mobile carriers on Feb 11

Broadcasting, Media and Communications Commission Chairman Kim Jong-cheol will meet the CEOs of SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus on Feb. 11 in Seoul, industry sources said. It will be his first official face-to-face meeting with the three carriers since taking office. The agenda is expected to include follow-up steps after the repeal of the mobile handset distribution law, measures to prevent market confusion, and carriers’ roles in blocking voice phishing and spam.

Stress Solution to co-develop AI-based sports variety platform with January Corporation

AI digital healthcare firm Stress Solution said on Thursday it signed a memorandum of understanding with broadcast content producer January Corporation to jointly develop an AI-based variety platform. The partnership will apply Stress Solution's biometric data analysis and AI sound solution technologies to a new terrestrial TV sports variety programme, "Bowlingvengers" (working title). The companies aim to expand content beyond match results to include performers' condition and mental state.
