Homeplus said on Monday that the deadline for submitting letters of intent to acquire Homeplus Express had closed. The company said it had confirmed that multiple companies submitted letters of intent.
Homeplus is proceeding with the sale of Express, and the deadline for receiving letters of intent closed on Monday. Homeplus said it expects additional submissions from other candidates interested in acquiring the unit depending on how the process progresses.
A Homeplus official said, "As the sales adviser is currently in discussions, the names of the companies that submitted letters of intent this time and the detailed acquisition terms have not been disclosed."
