Why South Korea's privacy watchdog hit Coupang with a record fine

South Korea's Personal Information Protection Commission imposed a 624.7 billion won penalty and a 16.8 million won fine on Coupang over a large-scale personal data leak last November and the collection of personal information without legal grounds. The watchdog said the fine equals 2 percent of sales used in its calculation. It cited failures in managing certificate signing keys and inadequate intrusion detection, and said it will pursue a separate criminal complaint process.

Anthony Pompliano says bitcoin downside limited; has it formed a bottom?

Bitcoin may be nearing the bottom of the current bear market, U.S. investor Anthony Pompliano (앤서니 폼플리아노) said, citing a more limited decline than in past downturns. He said bitcoin has fallen about 50 percent from its record high of $126,198, compared with drops of more than 80 percent in prior bear markets. Analysts also pointed to on-chain indicators and long-term holder selling pressure as factors to watch.
