Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded inflows for a sixth straight trading day, lifting cumulative net inflows to $2.26 billion.

Cointelegraph reported on Aug. 25 that net inflows into bitcoin spot ETFs on Aug. 24 totaled $337.6 million. SoSoValue data showed $1.92 billion in net inflows last week alone, the strongest weekly inflow since October 2025.

Since launch, cumulative net inflows rose to $54.0 billion, while total net assets stood at $98.56 billion. Steady inflows over the past six trading days have helped recoup part of the weak start to the year.

Bitcoin prices also showed strength. Bitcoin traded around $78,700 and has risen more than 20% over the past week. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index, which had stayed in the "fear" zone for months, has remained in the "greed" zone since Aug. 21. The index now stands at 74, the highest level since October 2025.

Ethereum spot ETFs also extended net inflows to a sixth straight trading day on the same day. Daily net inflows were $115.6 million, and cumulative inflows over six trading days totaled about $812.8 million. Even so, it remains in net outflow of about $1.3 billion on a year-to-date basis.

XRP spot ETFs recorded net inflows of $13.8 million on Aug. 24. That brought year-to-date net inflows close to $400 million, while cumulative net inflows since launch were tallied at $1.57 billion.

The pace of fund recovery differs by cryptocurrency. Bitcoin spot ETFs have been quickly offsetting year-to-date net outflows with recent inflows, but ethereum spot ETFs remain in net outflow of about $1.3 billion year-to-date despite six straight days of inflows. Investors are watching whether the latest move will remain a bitcoin-led short-term rebound or lead to a recovery in institutional demand across major cryptocurrencies.

The key is how long the recent inflows last. Bitcoin spot ETFs' cumulative net outflows since the start of the year have narrowed to about $2.57 billion due to the latest inflows. Continued additional inflows could be seen as a sign that institutional demand has recovered in earnest, but if inflows fade, recent price gains could also be limited to a short-term rebound, an analysis showed.
