Robinhood’s cryptocurrency chief operating officer Tanya Denisova (타냐 데니소바) is leaving the company, Coindesk reported on May 23, citing two sources familiar with internal matters.

Denisova worked at Robinhood for more than 5 years, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Denisova’s departure comes as Robinhood’s first-quarter results and revenue outlook fell short of expectations. The main reason is a contraction in cryptocurrency trading.

In the first quarter, cryptocurrency-related revenue, one of Robinhood’s biggest transaction-based revenue sources, fell 47 percent to $134 million from $252 million a year earlier. Robinhood is working to reduce its dependence on cryptocurrency market volatility and to restructure its business.
