Coinbase has introduced perpetual stock contracts for investors outside the United States as it moves to target global investment markets, Cointelegraph reported on March 20 local time.
The move is part of a strategy to expand trading so users can trade cryptocurrencies, stocks and prediction markets on one platform around the clock.
Coinbase is offering the service only to non-U.S. traders, excluding U.S. investors, and plans to expand it later.
The contracts can be traded on Coinbase Advanced for retail investors and on Coinbase International Exchange for institutional investors. They support leverage and cash settlement for major U.S. stocks and indexes such as Apple and Nvidia.
The service has already been launched in 26 countries, including in Europe, and Coinbase is operating under MiFID regulation, Cointelegraph said.
