Nexth acquisition of OneStore secures game distribution channel, puts web3 hub shift to the test

Nexth\'s acquisition of OneStore is aimed less at running an app market and more at directly owning a game distribution channel. Nexth decided to buy 20,247,990 OneStore shares for about 62.6 billion won, taking an 89.03% stake. Sellers include SK Square, Naver, Steel No.1 First and Krafton, with some joining as Nexth strategic investors. Nexth plans to add blockchain and AI capabilities to turn OneStore into a game hub, a web3 game store and an AI-native discovery platform, while facing financial and regulatory challenges.
