Apple AI smart glasses may debut at WWDC27, with camera possibly excluded

Apple is said to be preparing artificial intelligence smart glasses alongside new Apple Watch models. Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman reported Apple is pushing to unveil the smart glasses at next year’s WWDC27, with a launch likely in late 2027. Privacy concerns linked to camera-equipped glasses are cited as a reason for delay. Apple is testing designs without a camera and considering on-device processing and other privacy features.

KAIST, Nvidia to set up physical AI technology centre to develop human motion model

KAIST and Nvidia will develop a human motion foundation model that learns human movement and physical intelligence for use in controlling wearable robots and humanoids. KAIST said on Saturday it will establish the Nvidia AI Technology Center for joint research in physical AI. The partners will set up a Human Physical Intelligence Technology Center at KAIST’s mechanical engineering department and run research, education and a student ambassador programme.

Samsung Galaxy Watch9, Ultra2 to get 5 years of Wear OS updates

Samsung will support Wear OS updates for five years on the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2, making them its first smartwatches with that guarantee. The watches will receive operating system upgrades starting with Wear OS 7 through 2031, aligning OS support with Samsung\'s five-year security patch policy. Media outlets noted the new models add one more year of OS updates compared with the Galaxy Watch8.
