AI smart glasses use expands but on-site control rules still lacking
AI-enabled smart glasses are entering the South Korean market in earnest, prompting calls to shore up on-site control rules. Authorities have detected repeated attempts to cheat on tests using smart glasses, raising concerns about gaps in exam supervision and school management. The devices resemble ordinary glasses while offering recording and AI search functions. Concerns also persist over illegal filming. The industry sees smart glasses as a growth opportunity, but wants clearer, risk-based standards by location.
