KB Securities joins Securitize, Optimism to pursue STO business for institutions

KB Securities will work with tokenisation platform Securitize and the Optimism Foundation, which operates Ethereum layer-2 network OP Mainnet, to pursue a token securities (STO) business for domestic institutional investors. The companies signed an MOU to jointly 추진 asset-backed token securities projects. KB Securities will handle product supply, Securitize will provide tokenisation infrastructure and Optimism will support the blockchain network. The firms plan to offer tokenised MMFs and funds, and later expand tokenised assets.

Circle launches Arc layer-1 blockchain mainnet targeting stablecoins

Circle has launched the mainnet of Arc, a layer-1 blockchain that uses USDC as the asset for transaction fees. Cointelegraph reported that Arc targets stablecoin payments and financial markets, especially agent-based trading. Arc is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine and offers sub-second payment finality. It supports more than 20 fiat stablecoins and provides tokenised assets such as BlackRock’s BUIDL and Circle’s USYC in native form.

NHN Cloud completes verification of Tibero TAC, applies it to Daegu public cloud

NHN Cloud said on Aug. 13 it completed a proof of concept verifying the operational stability of TmaxTibero\'s Tibero Active Cluster (TAC) in a multi-hypervisor cloud environment and applied it to the Daegu public-private partnership (PPP) cloud. TAC is an active-active clustering high-availability solution. NHN Cloud said it applied SR-IOV to enable fast, stable communication between database servers and completed deployment at the National Information Resources Service Daegu Center in July.
