Why Google OKF is drawing attention beyond vector databases and RAG

Signs of change are emerging in retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), long treated as a standard for building enterprise AI. Google Cloud has released Open Knowledge Format (OKF), proposing that core enterprise knowledge be managed as a structured knowledge network rather than stored in a vector database for retrieval. Secret Dev wrote that OKF organizes knowledge like a living wiki, using linked documents to navigate required information. It said OKF does not fully replace RAG and the two may be combined.
