Sparrow steps up push into Japan with Sparrow MCP coding AI security solution

Sparrow will take part in Security Days Fall 2026 in Tokyo from Oct. 21 and showcase Sparrow MCP, an AI-generated code security assistant. The company plans to accelerate the expansion of Sparrow MCP in Japan after the event. It will also run its own booth and present Sparrow Enterprise, an integrated application security testing solution. Local partner VeriServe will speak on vulnerability management for Cyber Resilience Act compliance.

Piolink finds 28 previously unknown open-source vulnerabilities using BlueHunter

Piolink said on Wednesday it found 28 previously unknown new vulnerabilities in open-source software using its self-developed CTEM-based cyber threat management platform, BlueHunter. Two of the cases have been assigned CVE identifiers, and related information is scheduled to be officially disclosed in December. Piolink said its Threat Analysis Center analyzed the attack surface and software behavior of 10 open-source services and 1 CMS used in Linux environments.

Red Hat, IBM fix over 400 previously unknown open-source flaws via Lightwell

Red Hat and IBM said on Tuesday they found and fixed more than 400 previously unknown vulnerabilities in Java libraries through Lightwell, a security infrastructure they provide to deliver safer open-source software. They also backported the fixes so they can be applied to earlier versions. Red Hat said the effort shows long-used codebases need continuous management as threat environments change. The companies also launched Lightwell Clearinghouse for customer requests.
