Sparrow holds Application Security Summit 2026, shares software supply chain security strategy for C-level executives
Application security company Sparrow held its Application Security Summit 2026 on Aug. 27, sharing strategies to respond to software supply chain attacks and ways to manage supply chain threats using software bills of materials (SBOM). About 30 leaders from industries including finance, manufacturing and retail attended the event in Seoul. Speakers highlighted tightening SBOM requirements in major economies, lifecycle management and secure distribution, and approaches to embed security across the software development lifecycle.

Sparrow registers \'Sparrow Enterprise\' app security testing solution with Korea procurement platform
Sparrow, an application security company, said on July 13 it registered its integrated application security testing solution, Sparrow Enterprise v1.0, on the Korea Procurement Service digital services mall. The company said the product provides source code vulnerability and quality defect analysis, web vulnerability analysis, and open-source vulnerability and licence analysis in a single environment. It also supports automated analysis through integration with development environments such as CI/CD.

Science ministry, KISA launch 7 programmes to strengthen SME security basics
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on Thursday it will launch, with the Korea Internet & Security Agency, seven support programmes to help improve small and medium-sized companies\' security. Any domestic SME lacking security resources can use them for free. The programmes include a security investment guide, attack surface checks, software supply chain security diagnostics, information security support, AI vulnerability testing infrastructure, penetration testing and security vulnerability checks.
