Dunamu\'s GIWA to join Consensus 2026 in U.S. to target global Web3 market
Dunamu will push into overseas markets with its Web3 infrastructure brand GIWA. The Upbit operator said GIWA will take part in the blockchain conference Consensus 2026 in Miami and introduce its ecosystem to global developers. It plans to highlight infrastructure including a Layer2 chain testnet, wallet and off-chain data verification tool, as well as privacy and naming services. Dunamu will also unveil a developer programme and announce an MOU with Optimism.

New blockchain networks touting ultra-fast, real-time performance are emerging, raising focus on whether they could lead to a generational shift in the blockchain market. Layer 1 platforms such as Solana and Sui expanded their foothold, and Coinbase-led Base rose as a leading Ethereum layer 2 platform. New entrants include Monad, a layer 1 compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, and MegaETH, an Ethereum-based layer 2. LayerZero also plans to launch its Zero mainnet later this year.

MegaETH to buy back MEGA with USDM revenue, says tokens released only with results
MegaETH Foundation will regularly buy MEGA tokens using revenue generated by its USDM stablecoin, The Block reported on Thursday. The move is part of announcements ahead of the mainnet launch. The foundation said USDM demand grows as applications expand, increasing MEGA buybacks. USDM was co-designed by MegaLabs and Ethena and is backed by Ethena’s USDtb, tied to BlackRock’s tokenised BUIDL fund.
