Shinhan Bank launches same-day ETF trading for retirement pensions

Shinhan Bank has introduced a service that allows retirement pension customers to buy another exchange-traded fund on the same day they sell an ETF. The bank said the service, for defined contribution and individual retirement pension clients, improves convenience by enabling reinvestment without waiting for settlement. It also added a linked trading function and supports switching among deposits, funds, target date funds and ETFs.

Xpeng commercialises smart cockpit, autonomous driving licensing, contrasted with Tesla

Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng is expanding a licensing business to sell its autonomous driving and smart cockpit technology to external customers, beyond its existing cooperation with Volkswagen, an EV outlet reported. It has set up a commercialisation team and is seeking contracts covering vehicle electronics architecture, smart cockpit systems, its Turing AI chip, driver-assistance systems and autonomous driving software, as well as robotaxi and humanoid robot technology. Its service revenue rose in the second quarter.

Apple AirPods top global true wireless earbuds market; Samsung third

Apple held the top spot in global true wireless earbuds (TWS) shipments in the second quarter, as the overall market edged down. Research firm Omdia put global shipments at 82.1 million units, down 0.7 percent from a year earlier, weighed by a 9.5 percent drop in China. Apple shipped 16.8 million units for a 20.5 percent share. Open-ear wireless earbuds shipments rose 12 percent to 11.1 million units.
