Mirae Asset Securities\' Q2 retirement pension reserves rise by 9.58 trillion won
Mirae Asset Securities said its retirement pension reserves rose by 9.58 trillion won in the second quarter, the largest increase among retirement pension providers. Total retirement pension market reserves increased by 45.14 trillion won in the same period, with Mirae Asset accounting for 21.2 percent of the rise. First-half reserves increased by about 14 trillion won, up 36.5 percent from the start of the year. Total pension assets reached 80.81 trillion won as of end-June.

Toss Securities launches pension savings account
Toss Securities will launch a pension savings account as its first tax-saving product, it said on Thursday. Users can contribute up to 18 million won a year, with tax deductions available for up to 6 million won. Combined with an individual retirement pension plan, deductions can reach 9 million won. The deduction rate varies by income. Korean residents aged 19 and older can open the account, including those with existing pension savings accounts elsewhere.

Woori Bank to offer personal IRP consultations on Naver Pay
Woori Bank will provide professional consultations on individual retirement pension plans (IRPs) for Naver Pay users, allowing them to receive remote advice and proceed to sign up. The bank said it began the service from July 22 under a partnership with Naver Pay. It said it is the only commercial bank to work with Naver Pay in IRP consultations. The service is available through Naver Pay’s new pension home.
