XRP holds near support despite selling as leverage cut eases plunge risk
Leverage positions in the XRP market are shrinking quickly and spot selling has risen sharply, but the price is holding near key support levels. XRP trades around $1.40 and is up about 8 percent over the past week. Binance open interest and overall derivatives open interest have declined markedly. Spot selling pressure intensified, with spot CVD worsening far more than perpetual futures CVD. Crypto trader Crypto Michael said he is still holding an XRP long position entered last month as of Sept. 19. The Crypto Basic reported he posted a screen showing a 20-times leveraged XRP/USDT perpetual futures position. The screen showed an entry price of $0.9918, a mark price of $1.4036 and a return of 830.51 percent. The article noted the return reflects leverage and implied an underlying gain of about 41.5 percent.

Gen Z investors using crypto exchanges trade equity products less frequently than millennials and Gen X, but keep more money in ETFs and individual stocks than in leveraged products, Binance Research data showed. Gen Z’s ETF share of spot stock trading rose to 25% in early August from 14.6% in June, outpacing millennials. Gen Z accounts also showed more buy-and-hold behaviour, while leveraged products were used more for short-term trading.
