LG HelloVision\'s \'Ji Sang-ryeol\'s Agami\' to stage shows in Busan, Daegu from October

LG HelloVision said on Wednesday it will expand offline performances of its original web variety show \"Ji Sang-ryeol\'s Agami\" to cities including Busan and Daegu from October. The participatory talk show features comedian Ji Sang-ryeol and Kim Seung-jin and is based on audience concerns and stories. Edited footage is released on online platforms such as YouTube. The show began in June in Incheon and later ran in Seoul.

Russia to roll out digital rouble payments from Sept 1; crypto payment ban remains

Russia will begin introducing digital rouble payments from Sept. 1 local time, but will keep prohibitions on using cryptocurrencies as a direct payment method. Major telecoms, online marketplaces and key banks are set to support the state-controlled digital currency, which becomes a third form of national money alongside cash and non-cash roubles. Laws set phased obligations for firms and banks to adopt the system, though surveys show limited consumer willingness to use it.

South Korea to loosen broadcast and OTT ad rules, expand mid-roll ads from October

South Korea will loosen advertising rules for broadcasters, raising the daily ad cap per channel and easing limits on mid-roll, virtual and indirect advertising. The Broadcasting Media Communication Commission approved a revision to the Enforcement Decree of the Broadcasting Act that will take effect in October after remaining procedures. The agency estimates easing mid-roll ad rules could lift broadcast ad revenue by about 50 billion won. Prime-time limits will remain to curb ad concentration.
