KB Kookmin Bank nominates AI expert Professor Jung Yoon-kyung as outside director

KB Kookmin Bank nominated Jung Yoon-kyung (정윤경), a professor at Sungkyunkwan University, as a new outside director candidate to strengthen expertise in artificial intelligence and digital fields. The nomination follows the resignation of former outside director Moon Soo-bok. The bank said its outside director nomination committee selected Jung after multiple meetings and screening procedures. Jung is expected to be formally appointed after approval at an extraordinary shareholders meeting on July 23.

Team Naver showcases AI full-stack technology at ICML 2026

Team Naver said on Sunday it took part in the International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML) 2026, presenting research results ranging from advanced AI models to physical AI. The event was held at Seoul\'s COEX from July 6 to 11. It showcased work across AI safety, model and agent operations, and 3D spatial understanding. Highlights included red-teaming using Stable-GFlowNet, a model-merging method called SyMerge, and a Seoul World Model developed jointly with partners.

KSTEC launches AI-based smart IDP solution to automate document processing

KSTEC, an AI and business automation company, said on Tuesday it launched a smart Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solution to shorten and automate corporate document processing. The company said the product combines natural language processing and machine learning beyond existing RPA and OCR, enabling it to understand document context. It can find, classify and extract key data from unstructured documents such as invoices and contracts. It also supports preprocessing and LLM integration to improve extraction accuracy.
