iPhone 18 Pro may be last model in iPhone X-era design line

The iPhone 18 Pro could be the last model in Apple’s current iPhone design lineage that began with the iPhone X, as expectations grow of a major redesign in 2027, an IT outlet reported. NineToFiveMac said the iPhone 18 Pro may mark the end of about a decade of gradual form-factor changes. BASF subsidiary trinamiX sues Apple over alleged iPhone Face ID patent infringement

German chemical company BASF\'s subsidiary trinamiX has filed a lawsuit in the United States alleging Apple\'s Face ID facial recognition system infringes its patents. The suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas in Midland, covers seven U.S. patents related to technology that distinguishes skin and material properties during facial authentication. trinamiX seeks damages and an injunction, while Apple has not issued an official response.

Apple\'s first foldable \'iPhone Ultra\' takes shape; Face ID, telephoto and MagSafe may be absent

Apple\'s first foldable iPhone could be unveiled in September, but its key specifications may be reduced compared with existing flagship models, a report said. The device, expected to be called the iPhone Ultra, is projected to cost more than $2,000. It may ship with two 48-megapixel rear cameras without a telephoto lens, switch from Face ID to Touch ID, and possibly drop MagSafe. It could also move to eSIM-only globally.
