From the 1976 Apple I to the 2026 MacBook Neo, Apple’s history has been a continuation of Silicon Valley innovation. The rankings compiled by IT outlet TechRadar on March 29 local time are as follows.

No. 15 went to the first-generation Apple Watch. Despite issues with battery life and a lack of apps, it is regarded as a product that opened up the smartwatch market. No. 14 was the iMac G4, released in 2002, which drew attention for its distinctive design and innovative flat-panel display. No. 13 was the iMac G3, and No. 12 was the Apple II, which led the PC market in the 8-bit era.

No. 11 went to AirTag. It is a product that redefined the Bluetooth tracker market with a simple design and strong tracking features. No. 10 was the M1-based MacBook Pro (2021), which significantly improved performance and battery life by adopting the M1 Pro and Max chipsets. No. 9 was the third-generation iPod, which achieved mainstream success by introducing a touch interface and the 30-pin dock connector.

No. 8 went to the iPod mini. It won strong popularity among music fans with a compact design and a click wheel. No. 7 was the 1984 Macintosh, which changed computing history as a personal computer with the first GUI. No. 6 was the iPhone X (2017), which innovated smartphone design by introducing an OLED display and Face ID.

No. 5 was the 2020 MacBook Air. It maximised performance and battery efficiency by adopting Apple silicon’s M1 chip. No. 4 was the iPhone 4 (2010), which set a new standard for smartphones by supporting the Retina display and FaceTime. No. 3 was the iPod classic (2007), which marked the peak of music players with up to 160GB of storage and a metal design.

No. 2 was the first-generation iPod, released in 2001. It reshaped the digital music market with the slogan “1,000 songs in your pocket” and its scroll-wheel design. The top spot went to the first iPhone, released in 2007. It rewrote the history of mobile phones by introducing a multi-touch screen and the mobile internet.
