Apple is still pursuing a four-sided bending display for its next iPhone Pro, the tech site 9to5Mac reported. The design would curve the screen around all four edges to sharply reduce the visible border and deliver an almost bezel-free front. The model is expected to mark the iPhone’s 20th anniversary next year. The report said Apple may drop some panel-thinning and power-efficiency technologies, citing component cost pressures such as rising memory prices.

As expectations grow that Apple’s foldable iPhone, dubbed the iPhone Ultra, will be unveiled within weeks, internal users who tried the device rate its portability, hinge durability and large-screen app usability most highly, a report said. The outer display is said to be 5.5 inches and the inner about 7.8 inches. Some compromises are expected, including a dual-camera setup, possible omission of a telephoto lens and Touch ID instead of Face ID, with a price expected above $2,000.
