Polymarket launches 67 perpetual futures contracts

Blockchain-based prediction market Polymarket has started perpetual futures trading that lets users bet on prices of cryptocurrencies, stocks and commodities. It launched Polymarket Perps for international users with 67 contracts, including Bitcoin, Ether, Tesla, Nvidia, Samsung Electronics, gold, silver, crude oil, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100. U.S. users are blocked. First-day trading totalled about $73 million, well below Hyperliquid’s daily volume of about $7 billion.

Bitcoin climbs back above 50-week moving average, next hurdle at $82,000 to $83,000

Bitcoin has moved back above the 50-week moving average, a level widely seen as a key market benchmark, U.Today reported. After rising to $81,797, it eased to around $81,400, up more than 5 percent over 24 hours. Galaxy Research said attention is focused on whether Bitcoin can hold above the 50-week line into the weekly close. Derivatives activity rose, with $84.74 billion in futures volume and $57.86 billion in open interest.
