XRP Ledger signals v3.3.0 upgrade targeting tokenisation demand, including five new features
XRP Ledger is preparing a major protocol upgrade aimed at boosting use of tokenised assets and institutional finance. The xrpld 3.3.0 node software is due this week and includes five new features focusing on privacy, payment efficiency and lowering onboarding barriers. RippleX product head Reece Cooper said the new functions will activate only after validator approval through the network’s governance process.

A blockchain media outlet said the amendment took effect with support from 30 of 35 validators. The upgrade makes XRPL 3.2.0 the new minimum supported version. The upgrade includes fixes tied to transaction processing, covering single-asset vaults, a lending protocol, a permissioned decentralised exchange, multi-purpose tokens and an authority-based domain. XRP Ledger manages changes affecting transaction handling through its amendment system, requiring 80 percent support and a two-week confirmation period.
