NH Investment Securities posts record Q2 results; H1 net profit nears 1 trillion won

NH Investment Securities said on Wednesday its second-quarter operating profit rose 111.6 percent from a year earlier to 681.2 billion won, while net profit climbed 90.5 percent to 489.4 billion won, both quarterly records. First-half operating profit reached 1.32 trillion won and net profit was 965.1 billion won, the highest for any first half. KB Financial first-half net profit 3.88 trillion won, non-bank contribution 44 percent

KB Financial Group posted a first-half net profit of 3.88 trillion won, up 13.1 percent from a year earlier, helped by higher fee income. Net fee income surged 50.6 percent, while second-quarter net interest income fell and margins narrowed. Non-bank units accounted for 44 percent of group profit, with KB Securities contributing about 21 percent. The board approved a 700 billion won share buyback and cancellation and a quarterly cash dividend of 1,155 won per share.

Shinhan Investment Corp first-half net profit up 123 percent to 577.7 billion won

Shinhan Investment Corp said on Wednesday its net profit for the first half of 2026 rose 123.1 percent from a year earlier to 577.7 billion won, helped by higher income from stock brokerage and financial product fees. Operating profit climbed 135.0 percent to 748.4 billion won. Fee income increased 138.6 percent to 935.4 billion won. Second-quarter net profit rose 0.3 percent from the previous quarter to 289.3 billion won.
