Shinhan Bank launches \'SOLmate Trust\' campaign with management participation
Shinhan Bank said on Monday it launched a campaign titled \"A healthy today, asset management for tomorrow\" and held a pledge ceremony to join its Shinhan SOLmate will substitute trust and dementia relief trust. Banks\' dementia trusts emerge as new battleground for 200 trillion won market
Dementia-focused trusts are emerging as a new battleground for South Korean banks as they compete to secure the so-called dementia money market. A government committee estimates dementia-related assets at 172 trillion won last year, rising to 220 trillion won by 2030 and 351 trillion won by 2040. Banks are launching pre-designed trust products, setting up dedicated organisations and expanding counselling platforms to prevent asset freezes, fraudulent withdrawals and family disputes.

KB Kookmin Bank said on Thursday it has launched the \'KB Brain Health Guardian\' service for senior customers. Available in the asset management menu of KB Star Banking, it provides health and financial information reflecting key interests such as dementia prevention. The service offers interactive content including brain health tests and OX quizzes. It also includes a dementia cost calculator and information on planning for later life, and allows consultation requests linked to branch appointments.
