KB Kookmin Bank said on Feb. 27 it is rolling out the 'KB Brain Health Guardian' service for senior customers.

'KB Brain Health Guardian' is a health and financial information service that reflects major areas of interest for senior customers, including dementia prevention. It is available in the asset management menu of KB Star Banking.

The service is designed to let users check their cognitive abilities on their own through interactive content such as brain health tests and OX quizzes.

It also allows users to calculate and compare expected costs in the event of a dementia diagnosis by situation, such as hospitalisation and use of long-term care facilities, through a 'dementia cost calculator'. Based on real cases, it also provides information on preparing for later life, including advance gifting and the guardianship system.

Users can also apply for consultations on related products and services, including a dementia relief trust, linked to a branch consultation reservation function. The bank said this allows senior customers to review information on preparing for later life that takes both health management and asset protection into account.
