LG Uplus overhauls Roaming Pass for instant roaming without arrival time input

LG Uplus said on Tuesday it has revamped its Roaming Pass service to reduce cumbersome settings and sign-up steps for overseas roaming. Under the changes, customers can use roaming from the moment they first connect to a network at an airport abroad without setting an arrival time. The company also simplified procedures for sharing roaming data among family members and introduced an option that automatically applies the same roaming product on future trips.

National AI Strategy Committee holds talks on physical AI-based self-driving innovation

South Korea\'s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy Committee on Monday held talks on self-driving innovation led by the autonomous driving group under its Industrial AX and Ecosystem subcommittee. Presenters said domestic technology remains at a supervised test-driving stage and called for a national roadmap, regulatory easing and data governance. Participants urged a government-led data-sharing platform, expansion of testbed cities and bigger budgets. The committee plans to support action plans, legal and institutional updates and R&D investment.

MSIT publishes guidelines for autonomous driving E2E training data

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on June 19 it published guidelines and specifications for building end-to-end autonomous driving training data. The ministry said E2E autonomous driving uses a single AI model from sensor input through perception, decision-making and vehicle control, requiring large-scale data. The guidelines cover data collection, processing, alignment and correction, labeling and system requirements, and were developed through a joint government project with participation from IITP, KADIF and ETRI.
