Samsung SDS said on Aug. 13 that a total of nine ministries, including the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Financial Services Commission and the Overseas Koreans Agency, will adopt its AI collaboration solution Brity Works, following the Ministry of Finance and Economy and the Ministry of Planning and Budget.

The ministries are expected to begin the service sequentially by August. Earlier, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced a plan to expand its generative AI-based intelligent work management platform, OnAI, to more than 40 central administrative agencies by the second half of this year, and Samsung SDS provides Brity Works as the official collaboration tool.

Samsung SDS Brity Works integrates a range of collaboration functions, including AI search, knowledge management and document-writing support, as well as messaging, video conferencing and data sharing, the company said. Civil servants can use AI search to find needed information in large volumes of administrative data and handle follow-up tasks using automatically organised meeting minutes. They can also continue work during business trips or field visits without returning to the office, improving business continuity and efficiency.

Brity Works runs on Samsung SDS security technology and a public-private partnership cloud environment that has obtained a top-level security rating of "high" from the National Intelligence Service, supporting central ministries and public institutions in using generative AI in a secure environment.

Samsung SDS plans to continue upgrading Brity Works in line with the expansion of the government AI work environment and to develop it into a government AI collaboration tool that raises civil servants' productivity and the quality of administrative services. Song Hae-gu (송해구), head of the Solutions Business Division at Samsung SDS and a vice president, said a total of nine central ministries have selected Brity Works as an official collaboration tool, accelerating its use in the public sector. He said Samsung SDS will strengthen links with the OnAI mobile service to build a work environment that allows civil servants to work conveniently and securely anytime and anywhere, and to actively support AX in the public sector.
