Red Hat upgrades AI Factory with NVIDIA, expands support for enterprise autonomous agents
Red Hat said on May 20 it will roll out new functions for Red Hat AI Factory with NVIDIA, a software platform co-developed with Nvidia. The update strengthens security for continuously operating agents and offers an immediately deployable solution to help companies move from experimentation to production. Red Hat said the platform combines Red Hat AI and Nvidia AI Enterprise models, tools and frameworks. It also integrates OpenShell and supports confidential computing to extend trust boundaries to hardware level.

Red Hat releases RHEL 10.2 and 9.8, boosting security threat response and AI support
Red Hat said on May 7 it will release Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 10.2 and 9.8. The latest versions, based on RHEL 10, focus on responding to new security threats, accelerating AI innovation and minimising operational variability. The company said the releases provide an operating system platform that integrates IT operations across hybrid clouds with security at its core. It highlighted stronger confidential computing and post-quantum security features.

AMD supplies large volumes of EPYC CPUs to major cloud companies
AMD has expanded its portfolio by supplying large volumes of its EPYC series CPUs to global cloud service companies, it said. AMD on Jan. 28 disclosed 2025 EPYC adoption by major cloud providers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The companies are expanding EPYC-based offerings to meet growing AI and cloud computing demand, AMD said, highlighting new fifth-generation EPYC products and performance improvements across virtual machines and HPC workloads.
