LG AI Research to work with National Pension Service on fund management AI

LG AI Research and the National Pension Service said on Thursday they signed a memorandum of understanding in Seoul to jointly develop AI aimed at improving the efficiency of pension fund management. The partners plan to build AI services tailored to fund management by combining LG AI Research\'s AI technology with the pension fund\'s investment expertise. Their first project will develop an AI-based foreign exchange analysis service, and they plan to expand AI applications in fund operations over the longer term.

KAIST develops SafeQL to more easily fix AI database query errors

Researchers at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology have developed a way to fix errors that occur when AI converts natural-language questions into SQL database queries without rebuilding the whole command. The technology, called SafeQL, identifies and corrects only the wrong parts using database error information and stored data. It was implemented inside PostgreSQL and tested on Bird and Spider benchmarks, reducing token use and repair time while improving execution accuracy.

KT builds companywide AI analytics environment, wins global innovation award

KT said it won the Stratygy Digital Transformation Award at Stratygy World Seoul 2026, a global data and AI analytics conference held in Seoul on July 9. The award recognises KT’s ability to combine its data platform and AI technology to modernise companywide data use and extend it to AI transformation work for corporate clients. KT said it modernised its analytics environment using its MAGMA platform built on Azure Databricks.
