Vivo launches X Fold6 globally with bigger battery, lighter weight than iPhone Duo
China\'s Vivo has launched its latest foldable smartphone, the X Fold6, in global markets after unveiling it in China in June. The device will be sold in some European markets but will not launch officially in the United States or Britain. It uses a book-style foldable design with an 8.02-inch inner screen and weighs 235 grams. Vivo highlights a 6,900 mAh battery, fast charging, upgraded cameras and expanded multitasking.

Zeiss overhauls SAP cloud ERP migration plan, shifts from greenfield to brownfield
Germany\'s optics company Zeiss Group has revised its plan to shift to SAP\'s cloud ERP software after costs rose, Bloomberg News reported. Zeiss decided to use a brownfield approach that moves existing software systems to the cloud, after a greenfield plan to build a new cloud-based system proved more complex than expected. A Zeiss spokesperson said the company regularly reviews large projects and adjusted the ERP migration to speed the transition and better meet business unit needs.

Zeiss appoints Janne Jehuzens as new Korea country head
Optical solutions company Zeiss said on Wednesday it has appointed Dr Janne Jehuzens as head of its South Korea unit. Jehuzens joined Zeiss in 2012 and has held roles including special operations projects lead, manufacturing project manager and head of industrial excellence. Since 2021, Jehuzens has led supply chain management for Zeiss’ semiconductor division, overseeing strategic sourcing, supplier development, supply quality and export controls.
