KB Kookmin Bank expands social contribution from support for families with disabled members to youth mentoring
KB Kookmin Bank is expanding its social contribution activities, running volunteer programmes to support families with disabled members and providing tailored financial mentoring for young people. The bank said it visited the Mapo Disabled Family Support Center in Seoul with a customer service outsourcing partner and carried out volunteer work, including a 10 million won donation. It also took part in a youth employment and mentoring event to offer one-on-one financial advice.

Forum urges shift in game industry regulation, calls for more precise user protection
A forum of game industry experts said a planned full revision of South Korea\'s Game Industry Promotion Act should shift the system from regulation to promoting game culture and the industry. Participants also called for more detailed safeguards on web-board game rules, identity verification and legal guardian consent, and how a damage redress centre is run. They raised concerns about defining game over-immersion and the scope and expertise of the redress centre.

Webzen to run youth coding workshop in 2026, support patent filings by Seongnam high school students
Webzen said on Thursday it has finalised its social contribution programme plan and will begin operating the “Youth Coding Workshop with Webzen” in 2026. Run with the Seongnam Youth Foundation, the initiative will offer coding courses, problem-based learning club activities and a high school programme in partnership with Pangyo and Yatap youth centres. Winning teams in an ICT invention contest will receive patent attorney advice and full filing costs.
